The curation
The First Nights Kit is the smallest layering system that covers the first three months at home — a bodysuit against the skin and a swaddle on top. Sized, weighted, and toned to wear together.
GOTS-certified organic cotton, sized 0–3M to fit the average newborn through their first growth spurt. Snap closure for the changes you do not see coming, gusset opening for the ones you do.
The moro reflex peaks between weeks four and ten — most babies sleep best with their arms in a natural up position, not pinned at the sides. The 1.5 TOG suits a standard 18–20°C UK nursery, the most common range we see in postcodes from N16 to BS8.
Oat, sage, clay. Pick one tone and the kit reads as a wardrobe rather than a stack of unrelated baby clothes. Pick across, and the kit photographs beautifully on a changing mat. Either choice is the right one — the design system is calm enough to absorb it.
A short note from the studio
The first weeks home are not a season — they are a window. The car seat comes in, the visitors leave, the temperature in the bedroom is suddenly a question that needs a daily answer. The First Nights Kit was put together for that exact window: from the day you arrive home, through the early swaddled weeks, until the bodysuit no longer snaps cleanly at the gusset.
It is also the kit we keep packing up for friends. The two pieces we tell new parents to buy first, the ones we hand over wrapped in cotton twine when the baby is born and the gift list has run out. Bundling them at one price means a discount against buying each piece à la carte, but the more honest reason is that, sold separately, the swaddle and the bodysuit get matched together by the parent rather than by us — and we know which way around the swaddle goes.
Returns are open thirty days, sizes can be exchanged unworn, and the keepsake box returns to us — laundered, refilled, passed to the next family.

Specifications
Every spec is measured, tested, and published. If something isn’t listed and you need to know, ask — we’ll tell you exactly.
No blends with elastane, no synthetic fire retardants, no coatings. Just two natural fibres, each chosen for its specific job: bamboo against the skin for breathability, cotton wadding over the top for warmth.
The bundle is sized as a complete system for the first three months. The bodysuit is cut slightly generously at the shoulder; the Swaddle UP is rated to 4.5kg.
Everything in this bundle washes at 40°C. Cotton softens with every wash; the quilted swaddle should air-dry rather than tumble. Backed by our 50-wash guarantee.
Every piece in the bundle carries the same certifications as our individual products — nothing is downgraded for being part of a bundle.
The bundle ships as a single parcel, in the cream keepsake box tied with cotton twine. Dispatched from Hackney, DPD next-day to UK addresses; 2–5 days across the EU.
For this bundle
Centre of gravity is the 18–20°C nursery — the most-loved range we see across UK postcodes. Cooler and warmer rooms are covered by other bundles in the system.
In the nursery
Photographed at home, in the quiet hours. The First Nights Kit, worn by the babies who tested it.
"Born on the 4th, in the bundle by the 7th. The swaddle survived the first ten weeks — then we slid the sleep bag in without thinking." — ELSA & MARGAUX, N16
The cream keepsake box, returned and refilled. Each one finds a second family.
"The temperature dipped, the bag did its job. I didn’t get up."
Twelve weeks in. Out of the swaddle, into the bag. No new shopping list.
Fifty washes in. Cotton softens; the swaddle holds shape.

The bundle composition itself is fixed — the bodysuit and the Swaddle UP — because that is the layering system the bundle is engineered for. Within each piece you can choose colour. If you want a different combination of pieces, browse our individual products or look at one of our other bundles.
Yes. The First Nights Kit dispatches as a single parcel — a cream keepsake box tied with cotton twine, both pieces folded inside with a printed first-month layering guide. DPD next-day to UK addresses; one tracking number for the whole order.
You can exchange any single piece for a different size at no charge within 30 days. Returns of individual pieces from a bundle are credited at the per-piece RRP minus the bundle saving — most parents simply exchange. Send the piece back unworn in the keepsake box; we’ll dispatch the replacement next-day.
Yes — the bundle saves against buying the bodysuit and the Swaddle UP à la carte. The discount is the same regardless of which colours you select. We run a single bundle price across the whole composition.
The bundle is sized to overlap — the 0–3M bodysuit and the newborn Swaddle UP cover the same window. If your baby grows faster than expected, our Second Nights programme buys back the unworn-out pieces for store credit and passes them to the next family.
Our seasonal bundles are named to the moment they’re tuned for; our always-on bundles are numbered. The First Nights Kit sits in the always-on family but keeps a name because parents reach for it by moment, not by SKU — the first nights at home are the moment the kit is for.
