Care for it well, and it will care for them well.

Always wash before first wear — removes any residual finishing agents from production. Cool 30°C, inside out, with similar colours. No fabric softener.

Cool wash (30°C max). Inside out. Mild liquid detergent only — powder leaves residue on organic cotton.

Tumble dry low or air dry. Air dry on a flat rack out of direct sun gives the longest fabric life.

No bleach (destroys organic fibres and dyes). No fabric softener (coats fibres, kills breathability). No hot wash (shrinks). No tumble high (shrinks and pills).

Cold water rinse from the back of the stain, immediately. Liquid detergent dab. Wash as normal. Never apply hot water to a stain — it sets protein.

For tough stains: repeat the rinse-and-dab once more before the final wash. Avoid bar soap (most contain bleach).

Fold flat, breathable cotton storage bags only. No plastic — bamboo blends need air to stay fresh. A cedar-lined drawer is ideal but not essential.

Pure cotton + bamboo blends compost. Don't bin: shred and add to a garden bin or council compost. Most councils accept natural-fibre textiles in green waste. Buttons and snaps are recyclable separately.
