Crafted in Vietnam. Designed in London.
90 years of textile expertise. Hand-finished. Quality-audited. Real partnership, not extraction.
The cooperative
We work with one named cooperative outside Hanoi. Fair-wage commitment in writing, no subcontracting, no anonymous workshops in the supply chain. We know exactly who makes our pieces — and they know us.
The cooperative employs ~120 people across three workshops. We pay 35% above the regional textile average and bear quality-failure cost ourselves.
The process
Cotton from regenerative farms in the central highlands. Bamboo from sustainably managed forests in the north. Weaving and finishing in family-run workshops, slowly. Premium textile production cannot be rushed.
A typical kit takes 18 working days to make from yarn to packed shipment. Faster than fast-fashion, slower than mass-produced — the right pace for the quality we want.
Quality auditing
Every piece is inspected before shipment. Current failure rate: 2.3% (industry premium average is 4–5%). Failures are caught at the workshop, not at the customer.
When a piece does ship with a defect, we replace at our cost — no questions, no proof of purchase needed for kits. Email hello@totnkids.com with a photo.
Why not the UK
The honest answer: UK textile capacity for the weaves and weights we use is limited. Vietnam offers 90 years of specialist expertise we couldn't replicate at home without compromising quality.
Long term, we want to build a UK partner relationship to handle final-finish work — packaging, monogramming, gift-wrap. That's a 2027 project.
